This pub is like a Tardis - being much bigger inside than it looks from outside, and has a single bar but a number of distinct areas on various levels. There are also two outside drinking areas, a patio with a covered area and a veranda. Being close to the County Hospital, Winchester University and Winchester Prison there is a vibrant mixed clientele. The pub shows major sporting events with four screens, including one outside in the covered area on the patio. Regular events are a quiz on Mondays, Poker on Tuesdays, Open Mike on Fridays and Karaoke on Sundays. The lower area at the back of the pub with a pool table can be cordoned off for private bookings.
