A characterful 500-year-old village inn, with a south-facing patio sitting on the square of this historic settlement. Its traditional interior features beamed ceilings, an open fire, and a hand-carved king in the bar supporting the floor above. Good food is served in the bar and dining area. There is frequent live music. The pub is family friendly and dogs are welcome in the bar. You can park in the central village car park. Winter hours may vary.

There is a dropped kerb from the road to footpath outside the pub. Step-free access; small dip with setts between footpath and patio, then slate floor into bar area of pub. Dining area was wooden floor. Slate floor ramp down to fully accessible WC (which has handrail and pull cord; also used for baby change). Tables are close together.
