Dating back to the 18th century and originally a smallholding, the building later became a factory producing aerated water until 1921. The then owners had diversified in the 1840s by selling beer and it has been a pub since then.

There is a corner bar at the front of the pub with old world charm. Interconnecting areas with a more open modern feel are at the rear of the building. Friendly staff and customers welcome visitors.
