Malthouse, Swansea

Café Bar & Restaurant, which is also the bar for the Swansea Grand Theatre and is operated by a local brewery (Gower Brewery) in partnership with the theatre. A large conservatory building, attached to the side of the Swansea Grand Theatre, it is done out in a comfortable modern style. It has separate entrances from the theatre itself and from the road and is normally open to the public, as well as for pre-theatre events. There is a food menu available and there is a long bar at the rear serving a variety of Gower Brewery products. Although no Cask ale is available on tap, some bottled ales may be available.

The Malthouse Bar is usually only regularly open every Monday to Saturday as a Café Bar from 10am to 2.30pm. In the EVENINGS it is only open as a Bar & Restaurant ON THEATRE NIGHTS ONLY from 5:30pm - 10:30pm. On theatre nights they offer three theatre bar options including The Malthouse on the ground floor, the Grand Circle Bar and the first floor Crush Bar, which may be open earlier and offer food and some drinks.

However, the actual opening hours for the Malthouse can often be very sporadic! And if making a special visit there, calling ahead is advised.
