A row of three 17th-century stone-built cottages, give this large pub two separate bars and a variety of seating rooms, at two different levels, with woodburning stove fires, plus outside seating both front and rear (covered). Ales from local breweries are available (up to three in Summer, less in Winter). A variety of home-made food is served throughout the day, including Breakfast for non-residents. Situated at the Western end of the beautiful Gower Peninsular, set back a short distance from the sandy stretches of Rhossili Bay.

Some building work, started in 2025, is ongoing at the rear of the pub, where a new seating area has recently been opened off the restaurant at the higher level. Because of this, it is possible for further changes to the layout and facilities in the future. But at the last visit in Feb 2026, the pub was still able to provide a full normal service.

There IS step free access into the pub and there IS an accessible toilet. No step free access available at the front of the building. As there are stairs both onto the front patio and a single step at each of the three front doors, each being a different depth. The step free route is at the rear from the car park (rough surface) down a big ramp onto the rear patio area and then through the right-hand door, which leads into the lower part of the pub, including the main bar. From the main bar an internal ramp (with an approx. 40mm deep edge at the bottom!) leads up to the higher restaurant area and the accessible toilet built within a brand-new extension at the right rear of the building. The two levels are flat throughout, apart from some of the seating in the new area being raised by one step.
