Unspoilt former shooting lodge, now a family-run hotel, high in Nidderdale, with glorious views down the dale. The availability of accommodation, home-cooked food and log fires make it popular with walkers and sportsmen. The pub is decorated in the traditional no-nonsense fashion for the Dales and comprises three rooms with the servery in the main room and comfortable seating and eating areas to the sides, including a family room. There are a selection of walking sticks available for purchase in the bar. A daily changing menu of home cooked food is available lunchtimes and early evenings every day (except Mondays), with local game on the menu in winter.
