Renovated and extended by Wetherspoon in 2014 from the old Crown and an adjacent building. The décor is crisp and modern with a faint hint of art deco. Three main areas provide ample seating and dining space, the area to the back provides more discrete seating. The twelve hand-pumps serve the usual Wetherspoon mix of standards and beers from smaller breweries both local and from further afield, usually including a dark beer, and there are also some boxed ciders, sometimes including a real cider such as Snails Bank. There is a small patio area at the back with its own access from the street.
