Westford Inn, Claddach Kirkibost

Directions

The Georgian listed building has been licensed since 1896 and is situated on the beautiful island of North Uist which forms a part of the Western Isles and faces out onto the Atlantic Ocean, next stop Canada!

The cosy, traditional pub has a devoted following of locals and visitors alike, and has cocktail nights, pub quizzes, pool nights, 'ladies' pool nights and regular traditional music nights. During summer there is a very popular mini beer festival.

Popular with cyclists, walkers and shooting parties, this friendly establishment has a traditional atmosphere. The wood-fuelled stove (not peat) sends out warmth on cooler nights.

Ales are supplied from the Isle of Skye Brewery with Skye Red being available all year round, with two others during the summer and one in the winter, offering alternative ales which are rotated.

A range of bottled and canned beers and ciders is also stocked.

Great food but booking is recommended if you want to eat, to avoid disappointment at busy times when there can be as many as three sittings on one table.

Colin and Eilidh Murray took on The Westford Inn in 2015 and have made a great success of it. A well-run inn, catering for both locals and visitors.
