It is located two miles from the A9 trunk where you turn at the roundabout at the south of the Dornoch Firth Bridge, onto the A835, Edderton is located on the pictish trail and is the site of the “battle of Carriblair” between the Picts and Vikings. The area has a number of buildings, stones and sites of historical interest. More recently the Balblair distillery (a short walk from Edderton Inn) was used in the film “The Angels Share” and now runs tours.
