This Pub is Closed Long Term

Large estate pub with large garden to match. Cannot be taken seriously as a pub though as it does not offer real ale, which is astonishing for a pub this size. Pub closed summer 2019, reason unknown.

Historic Interest

Believed to have been the venue for the local relaunch of Truman's as a brewer of real ales in around 1981. This was relatively short-lived, but was seen as a seismic shift in the attitude of major brewing companies towards real ale
