The pub consists of a public bar, lounge bar and games room. Out the back is the former stable/pig-sty/cattle-shed converted in 1926 into a skittles long alley which now also doubles as a function room. Adjacent to the car-park is a covered decked area and a tarmacked area with picnic tables. Behind the skittles alley are a larger car-park, a lawn with childrens play equipment and a secluded paved patio with garden furniture. Basket als at weekends, and "Fresh Filled Cobs prepared Daily".

Historic Interest

Originally a terrace of four cottages built in the mid-18th century to house four sons of a local farmer from whom the Heathcote family rented farmland. In 1811, following the death of the sons’, an aunt of the Heathcote family moved into the cottages and decided to turn them into a public house and as her maiden name was Heathcote she called it The Heathcote Arms. Following the aunts death in 1831 the pub stayed in the Heathcote family for some time before passing through numerous hands and eventually becoming owned by Everards from 1920 onwards.

The Heathcote Arms, Croft is worth a visit to see the public bar on the left consisting of two small joined rooms with Victorian bench seating round most of it, an old counter, some old bar back shelves to the left (ones on the right are modern, as is the fireplace). An unusual feature is the two hatches, one on either side of the servery, with one situated in the quarry tiled passage for service to two other modernised rooms. Skittle alley at the rear also contains a Cheese Skittle table.
