The front part of the pub has quite a small interior. An L-shaped bar where the tables at the front can all be occupied by diners during kitchen hours. On the right is a drinking area with low seating. There are oak panelled and exposed brick walls, and genuine leaded light windows. The former skittle alley at the back is used as a bookable restaurant and function room with windows overlooking the rear lawned garden and patio furnished with picnic tables.

No public transport to Burton Overy. The nearest bus stops are in Great Glen, over 3km away.

Historic Interest

The original Bell Inn was situated in Bell Lane. Historically it was owned by the Market Harborough brewery Eady & Dulley Ltd. They were taken over by the Northampton Brewery Co. Ltd in 1929, and it was probably this brewery that rebuilt the pub at the village cross roads in 1933. The old pub was subsequently sub-divided into two private dwellings known as White Cottage and Bell Cottage. The car park at the rear was previously occupied by a timber-framed cottage which caught fire and burnt down before World War 2.
