Some years ago now, the once individual rooms were knocked through to form one large room which consists of: a games area with a pool table and darts board; a central public bar type area; and a lounge area. Interesting wall pictures depict railway themes and scenes of bygone Kibworth. The pub also has a skittles long alley which doubles as a function room. There are normally two hand-pumped ales, but these change regularly.
Historic Interest
The Railway Arms was historically owned by the Lichfield Brewery Co. Ltd. This brewery was taken over by Samuel Allsopp & Sons Ltd in 1930, and subsequently the pub came under the management of Ansells Ltd of Birmingham. The pub is so named because of its close proximity to the Midland Main Line railway and former railway station which closed to passengers on New Year’s Day 1968.
This Pub serves 2 changing beers (Regularly changing) and 0 regular beers.
