Traditional local opposite St Peters Church. Formerly an Everard's house, they sold the pub to PubCo Hawthorn Leisure in 2021. Refurbished and reopened in 2026. There is a small enclosed courtyard garden, two-thirds of which is undercover. The pub itself boasts four distinct areas, there is the main bar and snug to the front, pool room and darts room to the rear. Up to three national and regional cask ales rotate on the bar. Snacks and light meals (burgers, baked potatoes, etc) are served Tuesday to Saturday.
