Jolly Sailor, Macclesfield

A cosy town centre pub renowned for one of the best pints of Bass around (subject to availability). Although essentially an single room pub, keeping much of its four room layout, which works well with comfy sofas intermingled with more traditional seating and a real fire. Six hand-pumps in excellent condition can be found on the central bar serving two permanent beers and up to four guests. In the words of the licensee, a traditional boozer. The upstairs of the pub will catch you by surprise after walking through the large covered outside smoking & outside seating area. The function room upstairs has toilets and seating for 32, this area can be booked for private parties and meetings. Whilst the pub doesn't have its own car park, it's right next to a pay & display public car park. There is occasional live music - keep an eye on posters and the website for more details.
