The Rising Sun is that, unfortunately, increasingly rare establishment, a proper local community pub. Local people come here regularly to meet friends for a drink, and the pub is usually still full and lively after 10.30pm, when so many other pubs are almost deserted. It hosts a number of teams playing darts, skittles, etc in local leagues.

The beers are well kept, three regulars, and there is a regularly changing guest ale. A comfortable, friendly pub. Opens at noon on Bank Holidays.
