Large open plan pub but with distinct separate areas. At one end pool and darts dominate. Further round there is a ‘bar’ area with a larger comfortable lounge/dining area with a ‘restaurant’ area at the back. The pub had a major refurbishment in November 2016.
Historic Interest
1930s roadhouse pub, formerly an Home Ales tie. Asset of Community Value registered 21st April 2016, nominated by the Nottingham Branch of CAMRA. The Fox Hotel has an entry on Nottingham's Local Heritage List as Heritage Asset HA477 (formerly on Nottingham Civic Society's Draft Heritage List (09 December 2013)), which notes that the building was built in 1937 and was designed by architects WB Starr & Hall. Disappointingly, the building's honey-coloured "London" brick was given battleship grey paintwork some years ago, ruining the visual aesthetics designed by the architects.
