Ground floor: brick with inset bays, short timber canopy with modillions, stone quoins and horizontal bands of rustication. First floor: stucco, Dutch gable, splayed eaves, original timber windows with leaded lights and central porthole window.
Frederick Ball's son was the WWI air ace Albert Ball.
