Previously an M&B Crown Carvery establishment before being sold to Milton Pubs and Taverns in 2017. A modern family friendly pub offering an all day carvery service seven days a week.

Having acquired the ‘pub’ in 2026, Lidl applied to Greenwich Council to have the existing lawful use confirmed as a restaurant (use class E(b)) rather than a pub (use Sui Generis, ie. use class of its own).

This would make conversion to a supermarket easier as this use also falls with use Class E, so planning permission for change of use is not needed.

In July 2026 Greenwich approved the application, stating that the previous operation was a carvery and the original planning use granted was A3 (previous restaurant use class, became E(b) when use class structure changed a few years ago) and they have no evidence this was ever changed to pub use class.
