Not to be confused with the pub of the same name in nearby Stanton Harcourt, this wet-led pub is in Oxford's atmospheric Jericho district, less than a mile from the centre, behind the Phoenix cinema. An inn was first recorded in 1871 and rebuilt in the 1930s by Ind Coope to their standard company design. Log fires in winter are particularly welcoming, and it's the sort of pub where you can easily fall into conversation or have a quiet drink on your own. Seating is on couches, pews or at tables, with French-themed art prints and posters decorating the walls.
This Pub serves 1 changing beer and 3 regular beers.
