This Pub is Permanently Closed

Built 1860s when Thame to Kennington line put in. Wheatley station was about 50 yards further up the hill. Variously owned by Ind Coope/ Halls/Fuller, Smith, & Turner. The bar retained its pub atmosphere and feel. The back room was the main restaurant area.

Sold Jan 2017. Application to demolish and replace with 16 retirement flats agreed June 2017 and conditions satisfied March 2018. Demolished July 2018.
