First opened in 1876 and very much a traditional pub with a wooden floor (please mind the step), beer mats on the ceiling, and a pub dog. There is a semi-divided room at the front with the bar and a smaller room to the rear with tables and chairs. Sometimes has a cider on for one of the ales which come from all over, Usually has three on at weekends and has some interesting keg offerings. Has bar snacks and you can bring your own food in with a £1 'Takeaway Toll' charged per person. Card payments only.
