Three hand pumped ales are available all year round with a fourth added for special occasions. A very friendly welcome is offered to walkers, visitors and well-behaved dogs. There's a 'Grumpy Corner' for those that like to put the world to rights. The pub is the focal point of the village, with a roaring fire in winter, and a very pleasant beer garden to relax in.
Aunt Sally, darts and dominoes are played here. The St George's Day annual beer festival has become a must for locals and visitors. Pizza pop-up nights are usually at weekends. Sport is shown on TV, with Sky for live sporting events.
