This friendly local was built in the Victorian era as the village railway tavern, but the railway never arrived. Today, walkers and hikers are greeted with a warm welcome and so are well-behaved dogs. Home-cooked food is served, there are four ale handpulls and one cider available. This pleasant village pubs four letting rooms plus a function room, and a TV for major sporting events. Coffee mornings also help to make this a focal point for the village.
