An old coaching inn that dates back to the 18th century with a bright, airy feel. The front dining room is focused on serving quality food. The bar area, which looks out over the superb beer garden to the countryside beyond, is often used by diners and has comfortable cushioned benches with attractive decor and artworks. A large new covered dining area has been created in the beer garden, with a pizza shack in season (May - Sep)

With good quality accommodation, this is an ideal base for exploring Berwickshire and north Northumberland.

NOTE: Booking is strongly advised, even if just going for a drink. May close early winter Sunday evenings. The former Travelsure bus service was withdrawn Oct 2023. Teviot Taxi Bus (07709 171506) may be ordered.
