Taken over by the community and reopened after extensive and tasteful refurbishment it’s run by the community for the community. It’s very friendly and welcoming, you can potentially get involved just walking in through the door. It consists of a single room pub with the bar at one end and a small open dining area at the other. There are 2 bedrooms offering bed & breakfast.
The Fishers Arms is a short walk from the River Tweed with walks along the river and opportunities for fishing as well as walks into the surrounding countryside.

The pub closed in Oct 2021. A community group (The Fishers Arms Horncliffe Community Pub Limited, a Community Benefit Society) was established in Jan 2022 with the aim to raise the funds to purchase the pub (see fishersarmshorncliffe.org). £200,000 was raised in a community share scheme, and the freehold of the pub was purchased in July 2022. Refurbishments required to reopen the pub was completed in 2023, and the pub reopened on the 19th December 2023.
