This is a club, which means that the bar may be only open to members.

A sister club to the South End Club. In 1950 the club was an old army hut which stood on a large plot of land, in 1952 Douglas Felton decided to open the army hut as a club, over the next few years the club grew and Doug Felton took some advice from Bass Charrington on how to develop the club, around 1954 a committee was formed and members were invited to join the club for a subscription fee. In 1956 the club was rebuilt with a loan from the Midland Bank, Victor Silvesters were the builders of Co-oP Street Stafford, with Sandy's doing some of the brickwork but the main building was concrete cast beams and panels, the club went from strength to strength with breweries fighting to get their beers in the club i.e. Joules, Bass, Worthington, Scottish & Newcastle etc, Doug Felton became President Chairman & Concert Secretary and shows were booked such as Bob Monkhouse, Carl Denver Trio, Bert Weedon etc, the club became well known for it's Children's and Pensioners Christmas Parties all supported by money raised by special events such as Harvest Festivals, Darts Competitions, Dance Competitions, Pageant Floats etc, the resident Organist and Drummer were Alan Cartwright and Stan Bennett, the concert room was extended again towards the railway line around 1966 along with a new committee room, club office, and changing rooms and toilets for acts performing on stage, Doug Felton invited the "Whats On" and "Shop Window Shows" to perform at the club where other clubs around the region could all attend to book artists for their own clubs, all the time Doug Felton was working at the club he also had his own Plumbing, Heating & Building business but eventually had to retire through ill health in the 80's. Closed c1989. There are now flats built on the site. Much of this information was provided by Doug Felton's son
