A traditional Victorian end of terrace pub with two distinct drinking areas. It was purchased from Enterprise Inns by a developer in 2001 for conversion to student accommodation but this was never completed. The current owner, Jane Andrews, purchased the freehold in 2003 and it re-opened as a pub in January 2004. Refurbished in 2014 it is a comfortable, friendly pub with 8 pool teams and 2 darts teams. Occasionally live music is offered; there is a disco/karaoke on the last Saturday each month. The beer range may vary, there is usually a beer from Slaters on offer. It was put on the market at the beginning of 2020 and closed as a result of covid precautions. It has never re-opened.
