In August 2015, this much loved local was converted into a trendy American Hamburger restaurant by new management However, in June 2016 another change of management took it back to being a traditional pub. It is a pleasant place with a public bar and a separate small dining room. The bar is used for darts and pool and for winter days the log burner is a welcome sight, especially if you're fresh from a walk on the nearby Offa’s Dyke path. Just a footnote about Treflach. It is Welsh for "Healthy Town" and is a reminder that hereabouts. the very penetrable national frontier is close by! Was once owned by the Border Brewery of Wrexham.
Re-opened in November 2019.
