This Pub is Permanently Closed
Situated under the lee of Grinshill, between the A49 and the A528, this is a large restaurant with accommodation. Well sign-posted from the northbound A49 Whilst the main focus is food and accommodation, there is a public bar named the Elephant and Castle, to reflect the pub's former name. The room is divided into two and is stylish and comfortable with the panelled walls, log fire in the dividing wall and nice sofas. Walkers in muddy boots are made welcome. The restaurant has won many awards for its food, and there are 6 guest rooms available. Under its former name, the pub was in several of the early editions of Good Beer Guide (1976-77 & 1983-84).
Update July 2021: Operating as an AirB&B.
