Large long-established pub, with a Premier Inn added. The pub reopened in 2026 as part of Queensway Inns while the Premier Inn remains Whitbread. On A65 at very western end of the village, next to the Leeds-Liverpool canal. Open for breakfasts, then as a pub later in the day. As at 30 September 2026 the details have not been verified in person, but a banner saying now open has been seen.
