The pub reopened after major refurbishments in March 2024, involving a very high quality internal revamp of the bar areas, extending the bar space and building a new extended kitchen. There are four integrated bar areas. The original drinking bar area is retained and is equipped to show major sporting events. The newly extended "Blue Bar" is suitable for eating and drinking and connects with the original dining area. French windows open onto the outside "Hound Bar" in the enclosed garden, which has its own outdoor bar and is ideal in decent weather for families and pets.
Four cask-conditioned ales are served, with Rebellion IPA being the one regular ale. Other ales from Rebellion and Loddon breweries are frequently on offer.
Re-opened after the acquisition by two locals on 16 December 2022 (after being closed since 1 August 2022) this remains a popular pub located at the heart of this riverside village. Convenient for the Henley Regatta Railway Line and with four en-suite rooms, an ideal stop for walkers on the Thames Path. The wood panelled bar features many rowing artefacts and rugby memorabilia from national and local teams, in particular the pub's own team - The Hounds! The enclosed garden has a children's play area and hosts regular summer barbecues. Built in 1936 and was originally a Wethered's pub. Won the pub of the year category in the 2020 VisitEngland Awards for Excellence.
