A genuine town centre free house, owned and run by the licensee and his wife. This is very much a locals pub reflected by all the quirky photos and paraphernalia that adorn the walls and bar , but strangers are made equally welcome. A selection of West Country beers is available with Cerne Abbas usually on the bar. The bar dominates in this small pub decorated with covers of Private Eye magazine and past beer pump clips. The seating is soft furnished benching alongside wooden polished tables and chairs. All food is locally sourced and cooked by the publican’s wife. A broad selection of game and vegetarian/vegan meals are on the menu. Note restricted opening and can close early if quiet.
