Situated at the bottom of High East St hill this town pub is well worth a visit, keen supporter of local breweries such as DBC, Cerne Abbas & Piddle ales. Internally the pub is in the form of a wooded public bar with a real fire and basic tables and chairs with some high backed ones by the fire. This is a perfect starting place for a walk along the river Frome using the rear gated access through the secluded garden. Currently the pub is under threat of re-development. A skittle alley is at the rear. The pub on Saturday nights can get lively with the sound of banter and live music.
