This heritage pub and hotel of immense character offers a choice of rooms - front bar with open fire and huge beams, snug with inglenook fireplace and rear public bar with TV. Two real ales in winter, three in summer from breweries in Wales and the Borders. The pub is listed in the Michelin Guide and award-winning food is served in the bars and restaurant. The menu includes local meat, fish and cheese and good vegetarian options. Rear patio and a large, beautifully landscaped beer garden with a memorial to the circus elephant reputedly buried here.
