This Pub is Permanently Closed

Tastefully decorated bar which can be difficult to find; Entertainer Doc Cox once claimed that he got within two miles & the lady on his sat-nav burst into tears. Occasional live music. Historic Interest

Pub was originally a shop & slaughterhouse & then later an off-license. One previous landlord, Graham (late 1980s & 90s) used to hold annual beach parties at pub with several tons of sand covering car-park for a weekend & on occasions a large inflatable octopus sitting on the pub roof. Inside at that time a large display of stuffed birds & animals were on display plus spiders which were suspended from the ceiling & were likely to join customers at their tables on occasions.
