Basic street corner local, lively and full of character. The black & white photos were taken in 1988 and 1992 when the pub was known as the Commercial and sold Peter Walker beers. Reported that no real ale available on handpump since at least 2021.
Historic Interest
Dating back to at least 1870, a West Cheshire Brewery pub, later by the 1980s the Commercial was a thriving Peter Walker pub with a busy public bar and tiny snug and one of the few pubs at that time to retain table service in the lounge.
