Two-bar village local, the last of three pubs in the village. One of several former Greene King pubs in the area now privately owned. The main bar has a traditional clay tiled floor and welcomes walkers and dogs. The Red Lion changed owners in August 2023. The two changing cask ales are sourced from small regional breweries including Nethergate. Home made food, including Persian as well as British dishes, using locally sourced ingredients cooked to order. Booking recommended for Sunday lunch.
