The pub has been refurbished into a more modern style but retains the multitude of timber beams, little rooms and alcoves.
Two ales are served through handpumps and the other two are served straight from casks behind the bar.
Fresh, locally sourced food is served all day. A carvery is served every Thursday from noon to 3pm and on Sundays from noon to 8pm Booking is advisable for Sunday lunch.
Historic Interest
Originally built in around 1280, the building opened as an inn in 1473 and until 1999 had been in the same family for 250 years.
