This is a club, which means that the bar may be only open to members.

The Cavalry Club was founded in 1890 and the Guards Club in 1810 and the two merged in 1976. As well as commissioned officers and ex-officers of Guards, cavalry and yeomanry regiments, membership includes senior Royals and military figures.

Situated next to the RAF Club, this was originally a town mansion dated 1888 designed by Adolphus Croft for Gillow & Co; it since extended from 127 into 126 and 125 and the whole site was revamped in 1909 by Mewes and Davies into today’s well-appointed clubhouse. The library is said to be the best cavalry library in the world. Portraits include Kaiser Bill in "the Naughty Boy's Corner". Other facilities used to include a club barber but he sadly retired in his eighties at the end of 2021!

The Club bought out its then lease in 1987 and is now structured by paying rent to a holding company.
