This Pub is Permanently Closed
A deep narrow pub in the heart of theatreland. Has the dubious distinction of being the first pub to lose its public bar when the landlord removed the partitions to create a single bar and increase his supper trade in 1905. The present pub dates from 1916.
Converted to French restaurant and wine bar in August 2012, operated by Terroirs group, but confusingly retaining pub name and signage. By May 2015 had become the Real Greek although the old pub sign remains.
