This Pub is Permanently Closed

Local residents had been fighting to save the pub, as reported in the News Shopper of 12 August 2002. However, it was demolished ahead of a planning inquiry which was due to be held in April 2004: News Shopper, 16 March 2004.

The picture of the pub has been sourced from the weebly.com website. It can also be seen on the Dover Kent Archives and Closed Pubs sites.

The block of flats which replaced the pub is shown above in a picture taken from Tillingbourne Green (on 3 September 2015) and in one from its courtyard (on 21 February 2023).
