This Pub is Permanently Closed
As at February 2014, construction of residential accommodation around the retained grade II listed shell of the pub was in progress; it has since has been completed.
A “Pub Spy” review of the pub was published in the 1 August 2002 edition of News Shopper.
An entry in the Bromley Gloss Facebook page relating to the pub, dated 16 October 2015, contains a 1985 video of a Trading Standards inspection, plus an account of a brawl in May 2008 which is said to have led to the pub’s demise.
The Dover Kent Archive website contains several pictures of both incarnations of the pub, plus more history, including the infamous brawl.
