In the Gibbonsdown area of Barry, the Master Mariner prides itself on being a community pub with many facilities, including modern plasma screens and sound system in each of their three areas, bar, lounge and skittle alley. Pool and darts are available in the bar; the lounge is used for dining, with a wonderful view across Barry. There is also a large beer garden and balcony, along with a good size car park.
