Bar & Charcuterie
Opened in August 2015, this specialist beer, wine, charcuterie and cheese bar serves deli-style food and drink in a relaxed atmosphere with a rustic but comfortable feel. The front room houses the bar, deli counter and a small seating area. There are additional seating areas in the back room, which includes a real fire, and in the basement room, which is also available for private hire. The three hand-pulls serve an ever varying range of real ales usually sourced from regional brewers but occasionally also from further afield. Fourteen taps on the back wall also serve an eclectic range of craft keg beers from independent brewers. A large range of bottles is also available. A table is usually required and continental-style service is offered. The establishment can be busy with diners. Dogs are permitted in the back room and basement but are not allowed in the front room. A number of events, usually focussed on food and drink, take place during the year and details are available on the website. There is a monthly jazz night. The art displayed on the walls is often for sale. Cashless payments only.
