Re-opened under new management, and following an extensive refurbishment, at the end of Sep 2024. This pub has a pleasant setting near the church. Although having a semi-open plan layout, it retains a multi-room feel. The decor has a classic, luxurious feel with plenty of woodwork on display. Although there is an emphasis on food, those visiting for a drink are also welcome. There are two regular cask ales and three guests, often from local breweries. Eight keg taps offer a range of lagers and Guinness. The menu has an extensive range of good-value, home-cooked meals and Sunday roasts are available. A quiz is held on Wednesday nights. There is a steak night on Thursdays. Dogs are permitted in the front part of the establishment, but not allowed by the bar or in the dining areas to the rear.
