The Swan, a timber framed building dating back to the 16th century, is in the centre of the village of Little Waldingfield. It has a cosy atmosphere, with a traditional bar on one side, a dining room on the other side, and a good sized pub garden at the rear. It is very much a community pub which welcomes people from far and wide. In addition to its real ales, currently Nethergate Stour Valley Gold and Nethergate Venture, it has an extensive wine list and a broad menu, which in large part features traditional pub food, like sausage 'n' mash, pie of the week, fish and chips, ham, egg and chips, sirloin steak, and Sunday lunches; but with some other interesting dishes, like chicken supreme, aubergine parmigiana, pizzas, Cajun chicken burger, and proper Rajastani lamb curry.
