Historic Interest

The pub was listed in John Stotts 1977 Guide to Good Beer in Bolton as selling Tetley Mild and Bitter (E), with TV, Juke Box, darts, pool and snacks. In May 1981 this was a Tetley pub selling Mild and Bitter (H), the handpumps having just replaced the electric pumps. In 1986 it became a Tetley Keg Fun Pub called Bananas, then in 1987 Rosie goes Bananas after the pub was being run by the landlady of the Rosie O'Grady Fun Pub on the A6 in Westhoughton. It was not listed in the 1989 Beer in Bolton Guide as it did not sell cask beer.
