Delicensed 06/02/12 landlord was Trevor Vine and owners Punch Taverns. The pub was listed in John Stotts 1977 Guide to Good Beer in Bolton as selling Greenall Whitley Bitter and both light and dark Mild (E), with TV, darts, dominoes and music. In July 1979 an article about pub bowling greens it was noted that here it had been replaced with garages. The pub was listed in the 1980 selective Greater Manchester Beer Guide. In May 1981 it was a Greenall Whitley Pub selling Mild and Bitter (E) but by February 1983 it was (H). Around September 1987 Greenall Whitley decided to convert the pub from being managed to being tenanted as it was believed to be losing money.
