Impressive former Georgian hunting lodge set in the heart of the Vale of Belvoir. The bar and lounge, with its tall bookshelves and comfortable seating, are warmed by an inviting open fireplace. One long bar serves four cask ales, including a mild. Light meals are available in the bar and a wide range of interesting food made with local produce is served in the restaurant. A wonderful patio and garden area are ideal for lazing on a hot summer day.
Historic Interest
The Manners Arms, formerly the Red House, is a Grade II listed building (No. 1360893): "House, now public house. Early C19. Brick with graded slate roof. 2½ storeys in 3 bays. Late C19 grey brick square porch under hipped roof. Windows are late C19 plate glass sashes under segmental arches and with shutters. Platband at first floor. Gabled roof with partly external gable-end stacks. Later brick extensions abut to right and left. Interior retains closed string staircase with turned balusters and ramped handrail."
